Commonly Asked Questions

Once I have the roof done, what do I need to do to maintain it?

Once you have had our roof applied, you no longer have any maintenance. This coating does not require any special conditioners or cleaners. There are no more caulking joinnts so you no longer have to inspect the roof and re-caulk. Around 7-10 years you might see the white, protective top coat start to wear off. At this point you can reapply the top coat or leave the roof the way it is. The roof will still maintain its strength and flexibility.

How do I clean this roof?

You can clean your new sprayed roof with just about any cleaner you want. The coating itself is tough enough to pressure wash and is resistant to commonly used chemicals. The white top coat will wear down faster under harsh conditions but it also can be pressure washed and you may use bleach or any other common household cleaner you want.

Do I need to caulk around my skylights and vents?

You no longer have to caulk because this sprayed chemical actually bonds to the components on your roof. Since it is chemically bonded, there is no longer any need to caulk. There is no seam for water to get through anywhere on your roof.

Isn't this a Linex? Or bedliner?

This chemical is not a bedliner. The process is similar but the end results are different. The polyurea used in our process stays so flexible that you can tie a sample in a knot. A truck bedliner is very stiff and designed to be applied to trucks or other simialr metalic, not aluminum, surfaces. Just like all paints are not alike, not all sprayed chemicals are the same.

What happens if I ever have to replace a part on my roof?

When we do your roof, we replace almost all the plastic components of your roof. The only exception at this point is skylights, we will replace them for our cost for a customer. All your lids can be replaced by removing them from the base. If you somewho damage a base or frame, a cutting wheel or grinder can be used to get to the screws and free the base from the coating. You would then reinstall the part and caulk around the joints. As soon as possible, bring back your RV and we will prep and respray that damaged area. The chemical bonds back to itself so you will not even be able to see where the repair was done.

We caution all our customers to be well informed consumers. We understand that we all look for the best deal possible but also know that does not always mean you get the best job. We have heard of many different situations with RV roofs. We have met people who have had bedliners, sealants and other roofs applied to their RV roof. We have met several people who have had a bedliner chemical sprayed on their roof and the results have not been satisfactory.

If you believe a bedliner company or a company that says they can spray anything, is who you want to do your RV roof due to price or convenience, please ask the following questions before making a decision.

* What will be done to my roof to prepare if for the coating? How do you do the vent covers? Air conditioners?

* What do you do to my roof to make sure  it bonds properly? Will this process bond to aluminum? Fiberglass? Plastic?

* What amount of flex does this chemical have? Will it crack? Can you send me a sample of the material?

* How thick will the roof be sprayed?

* Will I be able to change my awning? Will the roof be sealed at that seam?

* Will I be able to replace the side panels on my RV if they become damaged?

* Where do you spray to? On the edges? The front? The back?

Before or after you have talked to any other company, call and ask us the same questions. We are RV roof experts who only spray RV roofs. We take pride in the quality of our work and want our years of RV roof experience to benefit you.
